Networking has been a crucial skill I've learned to love as I navigate my way into the startup and venture capital ecosystems in Minneapolis and Denver. Connections can often mean the difference between a yes or no on a job application, finding the right co-founder/mentor, or gaining exposure to valuable recourses and opportunities. Building a strong network is fundamental in finding the support and expertise required to successfully navigate the rapidly-changing landscapes in the startup and VC industries.

       Whether it's through attending events (my favorite), joining online communities, or simply reaching out to potential "life-changers" (anyone that I could build a meaningful and mutually-beneficial relationship with). I believe effective networking is the most valuable piece in establishing oneself and one's opportunities in these dynamic and competitive fields.

       I would not have the experiences, knowledge, or opportunities I do today without capitalizing on every potential opportunity to network that comes my way.
